Week 16: Monday 27th January 2014:
This week has been a strong focus on my Paris samples with the deadline Friday, I have embellished into my original samples using stitch, but they are too messy and complicated I need to simplify the amount of stitch. The samples that work the best are the ones where the paint touches the edges of the fabric. It is taking much longer than I thought to prep the samples with Gesso as it is taking a while to dry. The concept is working with the ideas of concealing and revealing hidden areas.
Friday 31st deadline for LIVE BREIF PARIS:
I have included the photographs of my final samples which will be sent to Paris. I simplified the stitched and coated each sample in 4 layers of Gesso. They represent texture and collage and the concept is about revealing and concealing history.
I have also handed my dissertation in this week so Monday can be a fresh week to continue with the rest of the project, I am apprehensive about going back to the original project as I feel lost with the concept and where I was before my work experience and Christmas.
